Blog 4: Interview Preperation

1. I plan to interview someone within my profession for my senior topic. Luis White is a executive baker at a local bakery in Pomona Sweet Art Cakes.His motto as a baker is "We are only limited by your imagination." He has worked at his family owned business for many years now with a giant range in clientele.

2. Required Questions:

  • How long is the process to be where you are at in your field of work?
  • What do you recommend people at a young age who have this desire to work in this field do?
  • Who else do you recommend I talk to?
  • What kinds of places or activities do you recommend I do for the mentorship component?
  • What books should I read to help me during this project?  
Additional Questions:

  • What inspired you to become a cake decorator?
  • What are some important quality's a cake decorate needs to have to run an efficient bakery?
  • In your experience what are some challenges you can tell me you had encountered before you got here?
